Description:

Among the earliest equipment of the Pakistan Air Force, when it came into existence in 1947 after partition, were the few Dauglas C-47 Dakotas transferred from the former Royal Indian Air Force. These were used to start the crucial Valley Flights to Pakistani outposts in Azad Kashmir. The Dakota retired from the PAF in 1955.

Commissioned painting depicting S/L Mohammad Yousaf, covering the leader's tail while the leader, S/L Hameed Qadri guns down his second kill.

The dogfight took place over Parachinar, Pakistan, on 17 May, 1986, just before sun rise. 2 Afghan SU-22s crossed the border and were intercepted and shot down. These were the first Pakistani F-16 kills.

11 x 16 inches (unframed) - watercolors.

Commissioned painting.. depicts AH-1 Cobra Helicopter from No 35 Army Aviation Combat Squadron taking off for Pakistan day parade. Other helicopters from various aviation squadrons are also lined up and ready for take off.

Cobra helicopters played a critical role in Pakistan's operation against terrorism.. the terrorists used to call it "Black Mosquito" or "Black death"

Special thanks to Awais Lali for allowing me to use his picture for this painting.
