Zulfiqar mirza wala drama bhi bohot funny tha. That idiot lived in a multi million dollars house in defence but talked about the people of lyari. Hypocrisy at its best
Exactly, my family migrated to Punjab. Even in Punjab there are two local communities, 1- Those who migrated from Indian Punjab 2- Those who are natives. Even the versions of Punjabi spoken by both are radically different (Natives speak "Janglu" version whereas the version used by settlers is traditional Punjabi). Still now there is no difference between the two as both maintain the similar identity of Punjabi. Same should have happened in Karachi. The day Urdu speaking community of Sindh will be referred to as to as Sindhi/Pakistani, most problems will eventually be solved. It sucks to be called as Mohajir, esp when you've not migrated.

Although I don't agree with the word of Muhajir ... But why do we need to be Sindhi ... Before partition Baloch & Gujrati community lived in Karachi in majority ... After partition different communities had migrated in Karachi from India that's why Sindhi community couldn't dominate in Karachi ... So we shouldn't need to be called ourselves Mohajir nor Sindhi ... We are just Pakistani because we speak Pakistan's national language not some regional language ..........
Sindh means "the land of Indus" unlike Bluchistan (the Land of Baluch) or KPK (Land of Pukhtoons). So being Sindhi doesn't necessarily mean that one belongs to a specific ethnic group.Although I don't agree with the word of Muhajir ... But why do we need to be Sindhi ... Only then we will be recognised as nation and not a bunch of unguided individuals. We have to think Pakistan and therefore it is all the more important that Pakistan should have smaller provinces on administrative basis and not on ethnicity.

Excuse me,a majority of MQM affiliates still prefer to use Mohajir for them. As if they are just stuck to this name. How many Karachiites had declared to theirselves that they are Muhajir...???? They had always thought they are Sindhi ... But nobody accept to them as Sindhi ... Now we have no need to be called Sindhi ... We are just Pakistani .............
My forefathers started for Pakistan on the night of 13th, lost half of my maternal and parental family. We didn't wait for 1949 and then made an easy transit. Again some history for youwow, what a logic
moving from one inch on the different side of the line to another doesnt make you a mohajir, you are still punjabi and you guys also got the lost land, given to you by the pakistani government
we didnt get anything after losing all the property
and most of all, who are you to decide what names we choose for our community, we chose, mohajirs, urdu speakers, it were guys like you from punjab continuously mocking our skin colour not sindhis?, it were guys like you who did army operation on us based on fake jinnah pur not the sindhis? it were guys like you who constantly reminded us that we were indians and not sindhis
we also dont dwell in punjab so where is all the issue? or the importance of Karachi still makes you itch and bother too much about the identities we choose?
About 11.2 million or 78% of the population transfer took place in the west, with Punjab accounting for most of it; 5.3 million Muslims moved from India to West Punjab in Pakistan, potentially 3.8 million Hindus and Sikhs could have moved from West Pakistan to East Punjab in India but 500,000 had already migrated before the Radcliffe award was announced; elsewhere in the west 1.2 million moved in each direction to and from Sind.
The Commission decided to give Lahore to Pakistan, whilst Amritsar became part of India. Some areas in west Punjab, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, and Gujrat, had a large Sikh and Hindu population, and many of the residents were attacked or killed. On the other side, in East Punjab, cities such as Amritsar, Ludhiana, Gurdaspur, and Jalandhar had a majority Muslim population, of which thousands were killed or emigrated.
"Don't you have a intelligence"?Problems were further aggravated when incidents of violence instigated by Muslim refugees broke out in Karachi and Hyderabad.
