Zero fighter flies over Japan for 1st time since WWII

I suspect they were FUI (Flying Under Influence).

It is not beneath a man to cry out mother's name even in moments before death.

It was common for japanese soldiers who were dying , the last thing they would be calling out for before death took them -- was for mother. This was case for all soldiers, who were dying. Even Americans, Chinese, Germans, Russians.

Have you seen movie "Saving Private Ryan" ? There was a scene there.... that captures this...

I love that movie. Unlikely other war movies that often romanticize wars, this one clearly demonstrates the atrocity of war. Any men of power should watch that movie, again and again and again.

You should watch the Generation war for that don't know why to me except some good emotional scenes saving private ryan looks like a typical Hollywood bs :D

When the captain used himself as a diversion so his sniper could get into position, the guy next to him said "Captain, if your mother saw you do that she'd be very upset!"

And the squad members teased about if the captain had a mother.

And after the medic got hit, they couldn't patch him up. He called out to his mama and died.

Didn't know this movie before. Thanks for letting me know. Will watch it sometime. However, such movies, wonderful as they are, can only be watched once. I don't have the heart to go through it again. :)

Maybe this will interest you lot.

Especially when you fast forward to 43:33. Only catch is, this is real, not a war movie.

I don't quite understand why people would like war movie to begin with, a movie about a bunch of people killing a bunch of people. I mean do people really like killing that much?

I have been to real war, when you got to kill others and others got to try and kill you, and I can say this - I won, and that sucks. I don't like or enjoy killing people per se, even less being shot at, while it may make good entertainment looking at me fumble and try to duck for cover, it ain't fun to be shot at, and shooting at people too. Any kind of movie that portrait war with people pretend to know about them is an insult to veteran as far as I concern...

I never watch any war movie, I know them exist, I worked on it sometime as a technical advisor, but I don't watch them in general, so I honestly don't see why any people will want to go thru what I experienced in a fake environment...

I suppose the general audience are keen to experience the raw emotion seen in war documentaries or war-setting flicks. Hence the popularity of shows such as 'The Pacific' and 'Band of Brothers'.

That's the problem right there, they won't........

No matter how real a movie is made to be, it won't be the same as the real deal, and while audience was fooled into experiencing the emotion in war, it would not be the same.

The reason is that, war is something a lot more than just pulling the trigger or pushing a button or something like that. The whole set of emotion comes with what you actually experience, something like what is the different between a zip and a zap? I mean, most "Hollywood" production did not even get the right sound effect for the bullet. That is something you won't know or cannot tell by watching war movie.

The more realistic a war movie try to pretend, the more it actually derail from the actual war, as war are never meant to be seen, it's like they lock you up in a cage and you fight so one of you will come out alive. And without going thru the process, it won't matter what you seen and what you think you experience, cause you know deep down it's unreal and you won't be killed in your living room watching band of brothers...

I literally have soldier come up to me on my second tour act like he know all the shit by watching black hawk down or Saving Private Ryan, and those dude almost got some of my other men killed...
