His endearment to a particular section of Pakistani establishment can not be unknown to Saudi. Many people who cross certain lines are deported without any such treatment. Was ZH meted out this treatment to send certain message to some people..? Its very unlikely that a person like him, who is supposedly close to people who matter the most, will be lashed like this.. Or, probably his "friends" started to think of him as liability and fixed him in Saudia..?

The Riyadh Consulate did ask for access. It is Saudi Arabia that is at fault here for denying it thus far.
