Exactly for this I am waiting since months … a naval variant of the Army Aviation‘s Z-8L maybe for the PLANMC as a replacement or complement for the Z-8C.

Has the PLA decided the Z-8L is expected to be the largest transport helicopter they will need, or is a larger helicopter expected to be inducted down the line in large numbers?

There is an even larger one under development - long as a joint Sino-Russian development program - but I don't know what's its current status.
