Following a successful test firing in November 2017, the Serbian state-owned intermediary for defence equipment imports and exports, Yugoimport SDPR is now offering Nora B-52 155 mm self-propelled howitzer to the United Arab Emirates.

Yugoimport SDPR held field drills with Nora B-52 155 mm self-propelled howitzer during the official visit Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin, and the delegation of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces to the United Arab Emirates.

“It was an opportunity to present one of the best products and innovations of the Serbian defence industry, in practical effect and in the best light, to the partners in the UAE, and after completion of the test, Minister Vulin stated that Yugoimport SDPR has all the reasons to be very proud and satisfied, considering how this most important production project, 155 mm Nora B-52, showed before the hosts from the UAE.” said Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin.

After IDEX 2017, UAE made request for Nora B.52 testing in their own country. Maybe they will not buy Nora B52, but she is there on their request.

Also interesting info when we talk about cooperation between Serbia and UAE, is that Serbian defence industry has active contracts worth around 220 millions of dollars with UAE. Aditionanal deal for artilery rockets (21 million of dollars) was signed at IDEX 2017, and we also entered negotiations for additional contracts worth around 100 million of dollars. Also UAE is in the process of negotiation with Serbian Trayal company for technology transfer for non lethal ammunition. Joint development of Mini Jobaria MLRS, joint development and production of ALAS missile system, plus during IDEX 2017 they signed agreements for joint development of three additional undisclosed systems.

I also doubt that they will buy Nora B52, but maybe in the future they will show interest in acquiring Aleksandar 155mm SPG.

I think the UAE will buy the Nora 155 mm system if it comes with ToT and a JV for local production and promotion to export it.. The UAE can make it more appealing to the world market and for an affordable price compared with the French equivalent for instance..
