Indeed we should. However, I have come to a conclusion over the Windows-Linux arguments. It's the end user's choice, and nobody can do anything about it. We must choose what suits us.
Windows users often feel like Linux is alien, and vice-versa.

yes. Using Linux exclusively for almost 14 years now. I've come to terms with that. back 7-8 years, I argued why the better OS (UNIX-lke) are not embraced by the public. But, then we've to understand that the "best" will not be the choice for large monopolistic corporations to achieve high profits. Also, the learning curve, CLI, the lack of GUI(Believe me, Kde and Gnome was horrible long back) as well as lacking drivers/firmware of critical hardware makes it more difficult. (Now, this is not true as Linux is notably supported by HW vendors. Although, many new HW still will be lacking proper drivers or no driver) They need a OS which is (sometimes purposefully) *vulnerable* since it's inception. so that, virus makers (and antivirus software companies) can survive, Back-doors, rootkits can be implemented by countries, load crapwares and sells crap to gain high profit. it is the "Windows eco-system". What is their to gain with Open-Source and Gnu/Linux or *BSDs? they are interesting for a minority only. commoners wants toy-os to play and believes it is the best.
