A few months ago it was Red Sparrow. Now it's Hunter Killer. For the first time, pitching the America military directly in combat with the Russia military. Sure it's about rescuing the Russian president from the Russian defense minister, but it sets the stage for the next movie which will be all out war between America and Russia. Spreading Russophobia for support from the American public when the time comes when America invades Russia.

People don't seem to fully comprehend the power of media, it is very effective at changing people’s opinion. It should be considered not only as a tool for entertainment, but also for the purpose of rendering something unfavourable favourable.

Their media might influence their people. No one else is buying this shit. In fact even their own people are insanely divided on so many issues.

They can spread as much propaganda against any nation they like LOL Don't they accuse Trump of being a Russian agent? How did he get elected despite all Hollywood propaganda?

Hollywood is hated in America for its elitism.

My response was a general one, not necessarily aimed at this particular movie, but rather pointing out the role media can play. And so I would disagree with you, depending on the substance and quality of the show, it can influence people regardless if they are "their" people or not.

People who are going to be influenced don't need Hollywood or the media necessarily for that purpose. Money is usually enough.

If you produce good quality shows, you can influence people and make money and do it covertly, so why just give money and make a loss?

It's certainly banned in Russia. They will never allow Russia defense minister kidnap Russia president movie to be shown in Russia.

I mean it may not even make it to mainstream theaters in the US. There’s a lot of competition to get a movie on a screen in the US.

American movies are all cliched.

Russians= Traditional Bad guy
Arabs and Muslims= Terrorists
Mexicans and other South Americans= Drug Lords or Cartels
Africans= Incompetent Militia fighters

Its always one American taking them on and destroying them which is hilarious and ridiculous.

Just watch these for entertainment or laugh.
