Mongolia welcome on China’s train: Xi - Global Times

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday told Mongolian lawmakers that the inland country is welcomed to come aboard China's train of development.

"China is willing to offer opportunities and room to Mongolia and other neighbors for common development," Xi said in a speech delivered at the State Great Hural of Mongolia, the country's parliament.

"You can take a ride on our express train or just hitchhike, all are welcome," he said.

China has the largest number of neighboring countries in the world and sees this as a valuable asset.

"We will uphold the guidelines of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness in neighborhood diplomacy. China will surely do what it has said and deliver on what it has promised," Xi said.

Xi noted that Asia is the world's most economically dynamic region and it is also a place rife with a host of sensitive issues.

Countries in the region, said Xi, should respect each other's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, respect each other's free choice of social system and development path, not interfere in each other's internal affairs and deepen mutual understanding.

During a separate meeting with Mongolian Prime Minister Norov Altankhuyag on Friday, Xi said that a more open and developed China will bring more opportunities to Mongolia.

China is willing to join hands with Mongolia to bring into full play the newly-forged comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, said Xi.

The Silk Road Economic Belt initiative and the envisaged Asian infrastructure investment bank should be seen as new platforms for China-Mongolia cooperation, noted Xi.

Altankhuyag said Xi's visit is highly indicative of the great importance China attaches to its relations with Mongolia.

Admits mistakes in Middle East policy

'President Obama's hair these days do more white.' Friedman wrote in the article outset, 'There is no doubt that at least half of white hair because, try to manage foreign policy in a world increasingly out of sequence(Want News - Breaking News Updates | Latest News Headlines | Photos News ( The other half white hair because the Tea Party.) '

8 pm local time, Obama in the White House Map Room with Friedman conducted a dialogue. Interview the same day, the United States began in Iraq, 'Islamic State' (IS) Armed targeted air strikes.

Obama has made clear he will not let the United States was deeply involved in the situation in the Middle East, the United States will not become the Air Force or any other Iraqi Shiite forces.

Friedman asked Obama, if the former Secretary of State Dean Acheson (Dean Acheson) in the world order established after World War II played a role, and that whether Obama felt he played a role in the 'crash(News News Want News - Breaking News Updates | Latest News Headlines | Photos News

'First of all, I think you can not summarize the whole world, because a lot of places constantly good news.' Obama replied, such as Asia, like Indonesia, such as Latin America, such as Chile. 'But I do believe that part of the Middle East and North Africa region occurred in the collapse of a postwar order. '

If the United States earlier secular Syrian armed forces or to maintain troops in Iraq would be better? Obama said that if the Shiite majority in Iraq to seize the opportunity to share power with the Sunnis and Kurds, and more effectively with After contact between the two, you do not need American troops stationed in Iraq because the Iraqi Shiites did not do so sooner or later the American troops were involved in the crossfire. comes to Syria, Obama said, to provide weapons to the rebels make the situation the idea of change is an illusion.

Friedman please Obama explained his decision to use force to protect Iraqi refugees, Obama said, because there is the danger of the Holocaust, and American just stationed there, the international community has a strong consensus that these people need to be protected, the United States has the ability to provide protection, and therefore have a responsibility to do so.

Obama said the situation in Libya in order to prevent interference massacre is correct, but there is not enough follow-up action on the ground to deal with Libya's political transition to a more democratic, may be his biggest regret in foreign policy.

Why do people always look at the United States rather than China

Friedman asked, on the Iraq issue, people always look at Obama's words and deeds, and China is currently the largest energy investor in Iraq, if the president wants to China, said: to you (referring to China) should become a 'stakeholder persons '(stakeholder), not just hitchhike (free rider) the time?

Obama replied that China is indeed in the 'free rider', 'they take a ride of 30 years, and has been no problem.' He said he sometimes joked, 'We can be like China a little bit? Nobody expect them to do anything. 'Obama said, which is why people are always looking at the United States, rather than China's cause.

It also published the second time within a week of the Chinese view of Obama when in early acceptance << >> Economist interview, Obama said that although the two countries need to do a long-term partner, but the United States has to deal with China adamant 'Because before encountered resistance, China will step by step approach as much as possible.'

Putin says Ukraine is subject to invasion

While the West has been the imposition of severe sanctions, Obama said that Russian President Vladimir Putin at any time 'could invade' Ukraine, and if so, the US-Russian cooperation will be much more difficult to recover during his tenure.

After Ukraine and Crimea peninsula crisis between the United States and Russia continued to deteriorate. Malaysia Airlines MH17 after the crash, the West thought it was Putin's support of separatists in eastern Ukraine is, thus further sanctions against Russia.

On the day before Obama has issued a statement of Russia to Western sanctions has taken retaliatory measures that include, in the coming year, Russia banned imports of meat from countries the United States, European Union, Australia and Canada for its sanctions and fruit and other agricultural products.

Obama also expressed concerns about the domestic situation, he said, the biggest threat to the United States, the only way to really weaken the power of the United States, the Americans themselves. 'Our politics have been dysfunctional.' He said, Americans should put the Middle East division as a warning of its own, if the political parties do not want to compromise, society can not function properly.

However, although the extreme right-wing Republicans accuse Obama could have destroyed the possibility of bipartisan compromise to make, but he also acknowledged that the news media and the combination of money and politics uncontrolled, so can not play a role in American politics at a critical moment.

Interesting. While Obama whines about China's (so-called) free-ride, China invites its neighbors to take a free ride by joining China's development path. Feels like, in terms of conducting successful economics-oriented foreign policy, the US has been a midget when compared to China.

Xi's Mongolia visit opens new chapter of bilateral ties

BEIJING, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping's just-concluded state visit to Mongolia has charted the course for future development of bilateral relations, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said here on Friday.

The minister, who accompanied Xi in the two-day trip, noted that the fruitful visit, the first by a Chinese head of state to the landlocked nation in 11 years, has enhanced mutual trust, promoted economic cooperation and deepened traditional friendship between the two countries.

"This visit bears great historic significance and opens a new chapter for China-Mongolia relations," he said.

NEW POSITIONING OF BILATERAL RELATIONS

During the visit, Xi and his Mongolian counterpart, Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, signed a joint declaration to upgrade bilateral ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership.

The two countries established a good-neighborly partnership of mutual trust in 2003 and elevated the ties to a strategic partnership in 2011.

"It is a strategic choice made by the two heads of state for the sake of the long-term development of their own countries as well as the whole region's lasting prosperity and stability," Wang said.

"It has charted the course for the future development of bilateral relations," he added.

Both China and Mongolia are striving for reform and development and the revitalization of their nations, said Wang, adding that good-neighborly and friendly cooperation is a common aspiration of the two countries.

"China-Mongolia relationship is standing on a new historical starting point and is embracing even greater opportunities for development," he added.

Expounding China's peaceful development and good-neighborly policies, Xi stressed that no matter how the international landscape changes, China always respects Mongolia's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as the development path selected by the Mongolian people. :)

The two nations should be good neighbors, partners and friends who can always trust each other, said Xi, adding that China regards its relations with Mongolia as a priority of its foreign policy.

According to Wang, the Mongolian side has pledged to resolutely support China's stand on issues related to Taiwan and Tibet, and that it will not support any group or move that attempts to split China. :)

The two sides have also agreed to maintain high-level contacts and strategic communication, establish a mechanism of strategic dialogue between their foreign ministries and enhance cooperation in defense and security.

COMPLEMENTARITY AND PRACTICAL COOPERATION

Chances for China and Mongolia to cooperate are huge, as Ulan Bator and Beijing, one boasting of its natural resources and the other capital and technology, enjoy geological adjacency and economic complementarity, said Wang.

Heads of state of the two countries outlined in Xi's visit the future direction of practice cooperation in mineral resource exploration, infrastructure construction and finance, and prioritized collaboration in road and railway connectivity and major projects, so as to elevate bilateral trade volume to 10 billion U.S. dollars in 2020.

During Xi's visits, the two sides signed over 30 cooperation documents, covering such areas of trade and economy, mineral resources, electricity, transportation, and finance.

Beijing also inked a memorandum of understanding with Ulan Bator on setting up an economic cooperation zone, and agreed to offer sea ports and railway transport access to the landlocked neighbor.

These decisions, in accordance with the two nations' development needs, are expected to integrate their advantages and connect their path of development.

WIN-WIN STRATEGY

Xi has stressed that China's cooperation with Mongolia, an landlocked nation with relatively smaller population and highly foreign dependent economy, will stick to mutual benefit and win-win strategy instead of zero-sum game.

There is no doubt that China will fulfill its commitment to share the development fruits with Mongolian people so as to reach common growth and prosperity, Wang said.

For its side, Mongolia hailed China's adherence to the principle of equality and mutual benefits, and its support and assistance of Mongolia's economic and social development.

China has taken Mongolia's interests into full consideration in the bilateral cooperation, which deeply moved the Mongolians, said Elbegdorj.

WELCOME ABOARD CHINA'S TRAIN OF DEVELOPMENT

Interactions among Asian nations influence their development and the stability and prosperity of Asia, the world's most dynamic region in terms of economic development, and a place rife with a host of hotspot, Wang stressed.

It is a major task for Asian countries to correctly handle relations with their neighbors, get along well with each other, achieve common development, and properly resolve controversies and disputes, Xi said in a speech delivered at the State Great Hural of Mongolia, the country's parliament.

Countries in the region, said Xi, should respect each other's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, respect each other's free choice of social system and development path, not interfere in each other's internal affairs, take into consideration each other's major concerns, and deepen mutual understanding and recognition.

"China will unswervingly follow the path of peaceful development and in the meantime, it will push for the concept among all countries," he said, vowing to uphold the guidelines of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness in neighborhood diplomacy.

"You can take a ride on our express train or just make a hitchhike, all are welcome," he said.

In response, Mongolia highly appreciated China's good-neighborly policies, adding China's neighborhood diplomacy would bring key chances of development to Mongolia and other neighbors.

Steady relations with neighboring countries lay the foundation for China's national security and prosperity, Wang said.

Faced with the complicated changes of international and regional situations, China should adhere to its established strategies and put into practice its commitment to neighborliness, regional security and common prosperity, he noted.

Efforts should be made not only to get benefit from our neighbors, but also to give these countries equal access to China's development, and deepen mutual trust and cooperation with them, so as to follow the path of peaceful development and common growth, Wang stressed.
