I found this chart quite interesting and informative:

Excerpt from: Daily chart: Bangs and bucks | The Economist

............. America, Western Europe and Latin America, which between them make up 65% of the global total of $1.634 trillion (at 2010 prices), all spent less than they had in 2010. This is the first time America made a year-on-year reduction since 1998, trimming its budget by 1.2% to $690 billion. ...........................Russia's spending increased by 9.3% to $64.1 billion...................... It is now the third biggest spender worldwide, ahead of both France and Britain. ................China, for instance, which spent $129 billion last year, has increased spending broadly in line with its GDP growth.

Lol @ Azerbaijan, do they even need to spend that much?

It doesn't mean they're spending much mate. Let's say if they were spending $1billion till last year and now spend $10billion on their defense with their growing economy, that doesn't mean they're spending much it only means they increased more % of their last budget. :)

more propaganda from the west to make a BS chart to paint china as a 'threat'.

they have put china as a bright orange colour as an outlier so everyone can see it while hiding the US in the clutter as a light blue invisible colour.

fcuk the US
