Standing tall at a whopping 29.3 metres (96.12 feet), it was made of 465,000 bricks, the World's Tallest LEGO tower was finally completed this past Wednesday morning at the C.N.E. fair grounds here in Toronto. Originally the plan was to have the tower completed earlier on Monday, but high winds and dark weather kept tossing about the 100-foot boom crane used in adding new LEGO sections. It took three attempts to finally get the last section in place and when they did, representatives from the Guinness Book of World Records were on hand to officially measure the tower and confirm the achievement into the record books. Completed under the supervision of professional LEGO buiiders Per Knudsen & Erik Therkelsen, who were flown in from Billund, Denmark, the construction itself was done with the help of kids and familes who were visiting the C.N.E. fairgrounds
