World’s 1st Solar Plane ‘Solar Impulse 2′ Lands In India

Solar Impulse 2 is claimed to be the only solar-powered aircraft in the world. This aircraft is on an around-the-world journey.

It hovered in the sky over the city of Ahmedabad for over 30 minutes before it landed in the city, at the Sardar Vallabhai Patel International Airport at 11.25 PM, around fifteen hours after it took off from Muscat. Click here for more details and images of the aircraft.

They should have landed in Pakistan aswell

7 of those hours was filling up paper work to land in India.

They should have landed in Pakistan aswell

Although they can land, it would be unfeasible to land after a short distance, the distance between Muscat and India is just perfect if you are taking the factors of distance covered and time and of course the stamina of the crew. Landing in Pakistan would mean wasting precious time because then they would have to wait for all the clearances to take off and the crew would again have to land in India again because of it's vast size..
