Women to lead Indian Army Units

Why do you over-sensitive male feminists jump to the conclusion that a woman who isn't let to jump in to do a man's job, should be confined to the kitchen?

There are historic reasons why women are not an imminent part of full blown combat scenarios. This includes physical considerations.

This is not a stupid corporate office where people sitting in ties and suits in plush AC rooms are using their heads on a report or probably a sales target.

We are talking about a bloody war zone.

Not just infantry but spec ops.

Picture a 5'8" (I am being liberal with female dimensions which is much lesser in our country on an average) woman, equipped to the boot with battle gear along with male soldiers, rushing through a hail of bullets and artillery from the other side. Suddenly, her male comrade is shot and severely injured. She's in the middle of a dense tropical surrounding where she has only herself and her 10 team members spread out in the region. Her partner is injured and she is almost surrounded in a fight, with only one way to go: back.

What gives you the faintest inkling that she'd be able to carry a 85-90+ Kg man with 40 Kg of equipment on him that too in a semi-conscious state all while shooting through the barrage of bullets, avoiding trees, thorns etc in a dangerous terrain?

Well my experience, observations and constant interaction with the military folks and their drills states NO. It is because that is not what a woman's body is built for.

It will simply be stupid to assume that just for the sake of grandiose and the idiotic neo-liberal mentality, we put a woman's life in danger by putting her in full blown combative situations.

Women do serve in army and in very capable roles that require them to even take up a semi-combat role. But that is in a specific service commission basis.

See, it is simply practicality.

A woman's body can endure much more internal pain like childbirth, than a male counterpart. But her external endurance is limited. It is not something inferior or superior. It is simply nature.

Women are welcome in armed forces to contribute to the skill but a full blown frontline role to command and lead wars is a silly and strange move by the Army.

Women are not eligible enough to join the Indian Armed Forces as full blown combat soldiers and officers.Period!!
It doesn't matter what those feminists might think but women are simply not built for this job.It has nothing to do with any kind of sexual discrimination.Plus their loyalty is also a matter of concern.It has been shown repeates in the histrory of mankind that women tend to shift their loyalty under duress or if coerced properly by an enemy.The same can't be said about their male counterparts.Hence the I.A. has made the right decision of barring the women from joining any kind of combat structure!!

It will simply ruin the bureaucracy due to the added pressure of political correctness. Thank God army is sensible to depute women to shitty posts like Public Works in Engineers, Air traffic Control in Aviation and Education Branch.

Combat is still a man's job, not some weak @$$ feminist punk's wetdream.....

A female officer in Siachen will be kicked around till she breaks (which will happen quicker than men)........

Nothing personal but I love my country too much. To see it ruined by a bunch of ill informed , stupid liberals trying to ape western culture without clarity to a tangible end is deeply painful.

Freedom is the power to do unlimited good but if selfish people trying to promote their own agenda misuse it, there's nothing sadder.

Women can never make it to combat / commanding posts as the leadership quality required is inherent in trust right to the core. A leader is a person who can inspire others to make the difference as he can go to the very core of an issue and connect directly with the lowest and the highest. If a female officer is barking orders to charge an MG whereas she is too frail to see combat that's plain hypocrisy.

Around the world we are seeing leadership crisis because women leaders are trying to uproot a functioning system and replace it with a watered down one that just doesn't work. This happens because they are not properly groomed or suited for the job.

Just check out any company with a female CEO and in most case the company is going bust. To roll off a few names Yahoo, General Motors, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, etc.

I am sure when Army opened up few of its regiments to accommodate women officers then it was not under any sort of pressure.Women were given roles which were apt for them.

Are you for real?, MMA includes even Krav Maga and other styles of grappling ,kicks , boxing, etc.
MMA is a sport but it is deadly when really used without rules.
MMA fighter learns the same techniques as krav maga soldier does only difference is they have rules in MMA no eye gouges, no biting, no catching or hitting of genitals etc.
You take off those rules and see how MMA fighter will own.
MMA evolved from street fighting where anything can be used to win and kill the opponent, Krava Maga involves street fighting techniques among many.
MMA was brutal before, but rules made it a sport and therefore people watch it on tv.
