Ludhiana: Public apathy was on full display in Punjab's Ludhiana once again where four men beat up a woman with iron rods.

Bystanders registered their presence as mute spectators, watching the woman being thrashed. What's shocking is the fact that the incident took place in broad daylight with many people around but no one coming to help.

The assailants beat up the woman because she had reportedly asked Manoj, one of the accused, to return her Rs 20,000 which she had lent him.
