Imran Khan.
Islamabad: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Sunday said it will not become part of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) led government. The party alleged the elections were rigged. MQM leader Faisal Subzwari said in Karachi that he was going to Islamabad with petitions to hold vote recounts in different constituencies, adding that Farooq Sattar adopted the stance of the party at the All Party Conference.

He said that the workers of MQM were summoned for a key meeting during which the strategy for protest will be devised. Earlier, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had announced final results of all the constituencies of the national and provincial Assemblies, more than 56 hours after the conclusion of voting for the 2018 General Elections.

Imran Khan’s PTI has won 116 of the 270 National Assembly seats, emerging as the largest political party in the country. The Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) grabbed 64 seats, while the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is in third place with 43 National Assembly seats.

The Mutahida Majlis Amal (MMA) secured 12 seats and Pakistan Mus-lim League (Quiad-e-Az-am) Balochistan Natioanl Party, Mutahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan, and Balochistan Awami Party secured 4, 03, 06, and 04 seat respectively. Awami National Party (ANP) has won one seat, Awami Muslim League (AML), Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insan-iyat and Jamhoori Wat-tan Party (JWP) have also grabbed one NA seat each. Fourteen independent candidates have also remained successful in their constituencies. They may play an important role in formation of the federal government.

Meanwhile, Imran Kh-an will be sworn in as Pakistan’s new Prime Minister before the country’s Independence Day on August 14, his party announced as it tried to reach out to smaller parties and independents.

MQM is done in Karachi due to there performance. Establishment removed PSP from the equation. PTI can win remaining of Karachi and Hyderabad seats (in by election or next election) if they perform and deliver for urban Sindh. Many of the MQM and PPP winners were involved in crimes, money laundering and corruption, they are out on bail. Once NAB and courts get active, MQM and PPP May lose these seats.
Happy hunting for establishment!

NAB should open reference against Faisal sabswari and Khawaja Izharul Hassan. These two have made millions in corruption.

At least 149 (directly elected) MPAs are required to form a government. With the addition of 66 women on reserved seats and eight minorities, at least 185 members are required to form a government.

With the joining of the independent MPAs-elect, the PTI tally in the Punjab Assembly has reached 132.

The PTI had refused to give those independent MPAs-elect party tickets to contest the July 25 general elections.

The sources said PTI Punjab President Abdul Aleem Khan and former secretary general Jahangir Tareen met the candidates and convinced them to join the party.

The candidates, who joined the PTI include Muhammad Salman Naeem from PP-217, Tahir Randhawa (PP-280), Rafaqat Ali Gillani (PP-284), Basit Sultan Bukhari (PP-272) and Almadar Abbas from PP-277 in Muzaffargarh.

Similarly, independent candidate from Muzaffargarh Abdul Hayi Dasti from PP-270 also joined the PTI.

On Saturday, a recount of ballot papers dramatically changed the result of PP-270 in favour of Dasti and he declared the winner with 17 votes.

Earlier in the official results, Awami Raj Party candidate Ajmal Chandia was declared successful. Then the victory margin was 39 votes, which prompted Dasti to approach the returning officer for a recount and his move paid him well.

Moreover, Hussain Jahaniyan Gardezi from PP-204, Khawar Ali Shah from PP-203 and Hanif Pitafi from PP-289 also joined the PTI.

The sources revealed that all those independent MPAs-elect are those for whom Tareen had struggled to get the PTI ticket before the general elections.

However, on the insistence of Shah Mehmood Qureshi, tickets were awarded to other candidates.

While speaking to The Express Tribune, the new PTI MPAs said they had promised the people of their constituencies that they would join the PTI after winning the elections.

Muhammad Salman Naeem said, “I support Imran Khan and can never sell my loyalty to anyone else,” adding, “I will accept any position from Imran Khan and will follow his instructions.”
