well one have to choose between honor and reputation and for most of the Pakistanis honor is more important than reputation . Even USA and Russia behaved in the same way during Cuba Missile crises and during many more such issue between them during cold war

Human psychology is complicated. I work in an organization where I express my dissent against my seniors like madman, but when I have my job to complete I would do anything to achieve it. Indian Army has a lot of organizational, hr related problems, I agree. But if it gives an impression of low morale and a piece of cake win of Pakistan if war breaks out then good luck.
