It doesn't matter, when our GDP per capita is about 10k-15k USD, our economy power can only be matched by USA, while some tiny European country with 100k USD per capita isn't even worthy to mention about.

Even Italy has a GDP bigger than Russia with both nominal and per capita, but do you truly believe that Italy is more powerful than Russia?

When China has the largest GDP in nominal, no other country is more powerful than China.

So it boils down to population size. That is what I am saying. More is your population better are your chance of becoming a superpower(Off course your economy should also be healthy/)

The thing that Pakistan has going for it is population, food independent (at least it can be once proper government comes), it can be energy independent with proven coal reserves and ability to get renewable energy from solar and wind.
It is in a key location, and it has natural resources from gas to gold and with new fracking technology, I would not be surprised if we found even more hydrocarbons in Pakistan.

The only thing Pakistan is missing is a good government that is not just looting the country.

So in general the larger the area you have more are your resources. India being almost 5 times larger than Pakistan should have 5 times more resources.So what makes you think Pakistan will become superpower while India not?

Going by this logic the great British empire should never have existed. Similarly,USA doesnt deserve to be in the top 3 superpowers.... ........while I didnt doubt what india can accomplish or not.....this brings me back to my original question....What india has which others dont?

Nope not at all. I personally prefer the Scandinavian model. High living standards and minimal involvement in global affairs. I could care less who becomes superpower.
