I'm no supporter of Modi. I accept him as my PM because he won our election and I'm nobody to question the will of the Indian people. It's my job to convince them that a secular govt is better and I will constantly endeavor to do so. But the idea of transferring any areas that have representative govt. to a dictatorship is anathema to me. Don't talk about your 'historical territories' without sorting that out. That really is the most important question of your generation.

How do you know that his views are not the general view of people living there? Maybe your press suppress the actual intentions and desires of people living there. I always suspect that the "democratic" India is not much different from a communist dictatorship China and I might be right.

Because he is from that place North East. And he knows it better than any Pakistani - American.

Many NE Indians are probably fed up with racism from other Indians. I think this is the most likely scenario. When the NE Indians are attacked for Mongoloid looking.

majority of them are criminal cases not related to racism but there are still some cases but much lesser than the kind we see in USA, and if any indian state was racist then there would be no india and Nepal would have been an ally of china.
