Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said on Monday he will ask the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) to arrange one-way journey to space for some ‘troublemaker politicians.’

Fawad told reporters in Lahore, “we will not spare those who have misappropriated money from the country’s exchequer,” Express News reported.

“We have made progress as regards our space programme with China,” the minister said. “In 2022, first Pakistani will head to the outer world.”

The information minister further said, “Suparco will receive applications from those aspiring to visit the outer world next year,” and added that I will request them to rather ship some politicians and some of the chaotic elements.

This is the only way to rid the country of them and save ourselves too,” he asserted.

Last month, the minister said the country would send a human to space in 2022, and that it would be the success of the country’s space programme. He had also said that Chinese assistance would be sought in this matter.

Earlier this year, Pakistan launched two indigenous built satellites into orbit, using a Chinese launch vehicle.

I do not understand the lingo this person uses. He is best suited for stand up comedies rather than the portfolio of Information Minister of Pakistan. No wonder he used to work on GEO Network.

Should the people interpret this as

'' Legislative measures are being undertaken to ensure that corrupt individuals do not get a say in the affairs of the state and will face long term imprisonment''

or

'' Legislation is being undertaken to award death penalty for corrupt public office holders ''
