Will ‘Dostumistan’ Be Established Near Afghanistan’s Border With Uzbekistan?

Like the '90s - Which means more mess for us to deal with !

Like it or not Afghanistan will remain Pakistan's neighbor for ever.
If Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are hedging their bets. Then Pakistan need to do the same. Prepare for post-American Afghanistan so then you don't get a mess but an opportunity.

Of course I don't like it.....were it up to me I'd mine & fence the border with Afghanistan & act as if 'Afghanistan' didn't exist but that clearly isn't an Option for financial & social purposes which means we've got to do something anway !

However the dilemma is quite clear - if the Afghan Government survives they're going to create problems for us like every Afghan Government since the Creation of Pakistan has which means Baluch Separatists finding sanctuary there, the TTP which is, allegedly, being supported by elements within the Afghan Establishment is going to find itself reinvigorated or we're going to have the age old Pukhtoonistan Issue or the Loy Afghanistan issue whipped up once more through aggressive posturing on the Durand Line !

Conversely if the Afghan Government doesn't survive & instead withers away into a patchwork of fiefdoms & warlords fighting it out for Control & Influence then we'd have either the Afghan Taliban turning their guns on us for supporting the US led War on Terror or we'd have a repeat of the '90s where you've got different countries using Afghanistan to wage their Proxy Wars with many waging it against Pakistan !

So all in all - Its not a pretty sight !

no matter how expensive in terms of resources & social issues it cannot be an excuse , this border needs to be fenced & sealed up ASAP, yes I agree there should be a few entry & exit points like the wagah border for interaction, but keeping the whole damn border open is simply suicidal for Pakistan & it can no longer afford to keep it open, no matter what. & this needs to be done even if we have to eat just one time meal a day, its better to stay hungry for a while, then to jeopardize the entire future of this country for this GOD forsaken border ,Pakistan simply cannot afford to tolerate this slow poison anymore, thus no matter what, the pak-afghan border needs to be fenced there is no other way

Which was a revenge of a previous massacre in which Talibans were lured in the name of peace deal and surrender and then slaughtered.

My *ss will they get.Everything single territory falling under the present Geography of Afghanistan is a Pashtun land.Be it Tajiks or uzbek.If anyone of them even think of secceeding them from Afghanistan will not only see the reaction from Afghanistan but from Pakistani pashtuns aswell.

Tajiks if are not happy with pashtuns in Afghanistan can leave for tajikistan and uzbeks for Afghanistan.

And obviously no decision on mining or fencing the Border can be taken without the consent of the People of Pakistan in general & the Pakistanis from the Pukhtoon Belt in particular !

Pretty sight or not. This is the hand we are dealt with and you can only play with the cards in your hand.
Fences as we talked before are unfeasible.
So instead of burying ones head in sand like an Ostrich I hope Pakistani authorities and people will develop a forward policy for Afghanistan and instead of being shaped by events in Afghanistan, will be able to shape events in Afghanistan.

We've tried to shape events in Afghanistan by pumping in billions of dollars worth of development aid into Afghanistan & by hosting the largest Refugee Population in the World comprising of Afghans from all ethnicities for more than 30 years - I think its time to call it a day & realize that Afghans & Afghanistan bring nothing but problems for us to the table !

God Bless them & their Country but they should get out of Pakistani Lands & shouldn't be allowed to come onto Pakistani Territory without a proper 'VISA' application & a thorough background check by the relevant Authorities in FATA, Baluchistan, KPK & the Federal Government where need be !

And to ensure that they don't come in the millions onto Pakistani Lands & bring with them the many Security Challenges that come with them.....we need to restrict this Cross-Border Movement between Pakistan & Afghanistan either through mining & fencing the Border or through some other means - I'm all ears if you've got some idea how we could do that ?

Lastly obviously none of this can happen without the consent of the People of Pakistan in general & the People of FATA, Baluchistan & KPK in particular hence a 'weighted' referendum is what I'd most certainly want !

Pakistan too has interests and responsibilities, we are not a closed society. When Muslims are massacred in Gujrat Pakistan has to raise its voice, when Kashmiris are prosecuted we have to do something. And when things happen in Afghanistan that are not to our advantage Pakistan has to have a policy.

Any country worth its salt has a forward policy and has interests in other countries.
America being a global power will have policy for the whole world.
China has policy and interests and if the push comes will intervene in countries on its border.
Russia has interests in Ukraine, Georgia, almost all the countries on it's border.
Pakistan too has interests and responsibilities, we are not a closed society. When Muslims are massacred in Gujrat Pakistan has to raise its voice, when Kashmiris are prosecuted we have to do something. And when things happen in Afghanistan that are not to our advantage Pakistan has to have a policy.

Wrrora, Kashmir is a disputed territory between India & Pakistan.....Gujrat & Afghanistan are not !

Besides what have we achieved from pumping billions of dollars of humanitarian aid into Afghanistan & hosting millions of Afghans for more than 30 years on Pakistani Soil ?

And this by-the-way in the back-drop of what successive Afghan Governments have been up to since '48 - Long before the Taliban were ever thought of !

Wrrora isn't it time to call spade a spade ? That Afghans are as Anti-Pakistan as it gets & we should've cut our losses & kick the remainder of them out of Pakistani Territory ? We should charge them enough in Import Duties for using our Ports or our Land Routes & close them down every now & then when they do something against Pakistani Interests ?

Why should we continue to waste resources on them when much of those wasted 'billions' could've been used on the People of FATA, KPK, Baluchistan, Southern Punjab & Interior Sindh instead ?

We are a Poor Country & yet we've still given billions to them & hosted millions of them for more than 3 decades - If even after that they are not Pro-Pakistan than they will never be so its better to know that we've wasted money on these People & instead focus on Pakistanis !
