Aslamualikum Everybody,
Purpose of this thread is to discuss the "leak" itself and not the content in the "Afghan War Leak".
WikiLeaks has reported a huge leakage of Confidential Documents. When everybody is talking about failure of USA in Afghanistan or the "hidden" hand supporting Taliban and the cause of us failures, most of us are not questioning the fundamental aspects and I am feeling compelled to raise these questions which are.
1 - Are the "leaked" documents/record actually owned by the state of USA as credible and leaked "as it was recorded" ? When it is stolen, the thief has whole privilege to modify any part, append to it, delete sections and sabotage content to suit its needs.
2 - Who had access to such a huge records? Is that a hacking attempt or deliberate plan to use/ misuse these documents for a purpose? Who has been held responsible for this leakage and has any action been taken against him/group of people involved?
3 - Who is going to gain benefit of this "leak" and who is going to suffer from that incident? Even in the case of 9/11 and Mumbai attacks, the benificery was Government of USA and India and not anybody who was alleged to have involved. Who in this case is beneficiary?
4 - USA in a million words has described that they are loosing the battle, rather lost in most cases so what is that they loose further by this "leakage"? Is that an attempt to suck American Soldiers back leaving the ground bleeding and un-controlled?
5 - Why has this huge leak only related to Afghan war, why not any old or side-wars that America is fighting.
6 - How is our "Friend" America going to take that.. so far they have been only "Friendly" as they ever were..
This leak is yet another attempt to hurt Pakistan and strangle it further. I do not see any change in the policy of USA/NATO in the war against "Terror" because of trick but only aim is to pave path to involve Pakistan/Iran in the -ve way, ignoring the huge loss that Pakistan has suffered, forgetting the massive contribution that Army and People of the land has offered and maligning the support that Pakistan has offered and still offering to fight against Terrorism.
