Why We're Stuck with Pakistan

The consequence is what Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, in an interview with TIME, calls a "trust deficit" with the U.S. Gilani insists that he can't mend the relationship with a wave of his hand. "I am not an army dictator. I'm a public figure," he tells TIME. "If public opinion is against [the U.S.], then I cannot resist it to stand with you. I have to go with public opinion."

This is same story the Pakistan is great off!!! Anyways, here is your Prime minister acknowledging it!!!

In Washington, that sentiment is echoed in Congress, where lawmakers are demanding to know why a country that has received more than $20 billion in U.S. aid over the past decade shelters and arms enemies of the U.S. even as it purports to hunt them down. "I think this is a moment when we need to look each other in the eye and decide, Are we real allies? Are we going to work together?" said Speaker of the House John Boehner.

The sentiments of US Public!!!!

By the way, this is just the beginning to people who have no time to read, but have all the time to comment!!!!

Ignorance is bliss!!!!!!!!

^ No, because, not knowing doesn't make you a failed state. If you want to go by that rate then you can also declare US, UK, Bharat, several other countries failed states as well.

And here is a great example of a fool not reading before commenting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^ Please elaborate yourself. There's nothing foolish about what I said, though there's a lot foolish with calling someone foolish because they destroyed your argument.

Reading from other replies, it seems we have a 15 year old or alike at hand here.

What the hell are you smoking? My argument was in post #15 and that was in reply to post #13.

U have to dig more.. for the interest groups working in this region and the economical gain. Who are the beneficiaries .. what ever you said in one way or the other fits all the situations and is written almost every where.. I think you need to shift your focus on other elements so that you get a perfect picture of the whole situation.. And for that you have to learn more About Kargil war and people who gained power along with multi Billion Business's.. and i am sure you would find a number of people who were never in any position but after this incident are among the most influential people of South Asia..
