I see no harm in an Indian Muslim saying that. If they want to make an issue out of it, then sure there's no shortage of technicalities to exploit but otherwise its pretty harmless.

Nobody is forcing anyone to.. You can choose to remain patriotic your own way. Constitution allows you to practice your religion freely. If our Muslim brethren find it against their religion, suggest an alternative and move ahead or simply dont say it. You dont become a patriot just by saying Bharat Mata Ki Jai. I do see why Owaisi and others Muslims are hesitant to shout Bharat mata ki jai . Why Hindu nationalist want them to say Bharat mata k jai when they dont mind saying jai hind/Jai India, India/Hindustan zindabad etc?
