Islamic nation is relax, nice to live inside it. Freedom of speech and religion is exist. Saudi, Taliban and Iran Islamic law is against that verses. Even in Aceh province men who is not praying Jumah get some penalty which is also against Quran.

Islamic law where state is responsible to intervene is criminal act like killing, stealing, and others. Prostitution is also should be eliminated. Thats it,

There is difference between Shariah Islam for public and private. State cannot intervene in private life like praying, wearing hijab, and others

I am a quite serious person when it comes to study Islam and my father is very knowledgeable as well in Islam. He has many Islamic book where some of them I read,

I also have read the translation version of Quran completely 2 times where many times I just read read Quran and see the meaning. For years I read it every Shubuh (Early Morning)

I also have learn Tasawuf and understand the important not to act Syirik ( Making another God beside Allah). This is why I do understand why there is such verses in Quran. It is only with freedom of religion man and woman can really worship their God. It is wrong to put state above God. This is the most sinful act in Islam while other sin can be forgiven.

I also have watch this knowledgeable Ulama for years as he always appear every week to discuss about Islam in Metro TV channel

Killing punishment is huge. Any things that violates other people right are considered as major sins, like killing, stealing, zinah, corruption etc. While if we do sin that only harm ourselves then it is the one that IMO can be forgiven much easier because it is between us and God only. Talking about corruption for example, God cannot forgive you unless you pay for the impact and get people that get the negative effect forgiveness.

This is why the punishment for killing, stealing, zinah are written in Quran and must be done in this world

Indeed Allah does not forgive that partners should be ascribed to Him, but He forgives anything besides that to whomever He wishes. Whoever ascribes partners to Allah has indeed fabricated [a lie] in great sinfulness.(quraan 4:48)
It is clearly written Allah forgives anything besides shirk..The ayat you quoted is about believer .. Non-believer is a fair game according to it..
