Pakistan Control Kashmir (Azad Kashmir) the total area of 13,297 square kilometers with an estimated population of 4.6 million people is one of the less facilitated Area under Pakistani control territories. Pakistan approves around 68-billion rupees budget every year for this Territory but people of Azad Kashmir are struggling for their basic needs.

According to Alif-Ailaan survey after dividing the country into eight regions; Kashmir is been ranked at number two (02) in education score when it is at number eight (08) in School infrastructure or facilities.

If we look at other sectors like Health facilities; there may be one hospital for a population of approx 500,000 people living in an area of approx 300 to 500 square kilometers and even those hospitals are not having enough resources to deal with any major disease or even sometimes they are unable to handle any emergency situation and they love to refer the patient to Rawalpindi. This has now become a routine in some hospitals like "Sheikh Zaid Hospital Rawalakot" that people are dying just due to Doctors unavailablity in the hospital because they are running their own clinics and there is no one in the hospital to treat with the emergency situations.

Another big issue is that "Donkeys" are still the major source of transportation for people living in Rural areas for carrying the goods from Bazaar to their homes but this issue becomes more worse when they need to take any serious patient to the hospital available at a distance of 20 to 40 kilometers. They first need to put the patient in a stretcher and carry him on their shoulder to reach in a road miles away from their homes where another problem awaits for them is no ambulance or any vehicle available there and they'll have to wait for hours. This is not the end of this problem. The major problem is still waiting which sometimes takes the lives of many patients before they reach in the hospital. This is not any sort of Ghosts but the condition of roads which do not allow you to drive in a speed of just 20 kph.

My question is that if the given budget is not enough to provide these basic facilities; why AK government do not ask to increase the budget. And if the given budget is enough and as per the requirements; why they are unable to provide these basic facilities to the people of Azad Kashmir.

And

my Subject Question is: If the given budget is enough to provide at least these basic facilities to whole Kashmir then why Kashmiries are still struggling for their basic needs. The reason is very clear and that is "Corruption". The maximum amount from this budget goes to minister's Accounts and NAB must be aware of that. If so then WHY NAB IS NOT ACTIVE IN AZAD KASHMIR AND WHO THEY ARE WAITING FOR??????

This is not a good forum to raise these issues. We elect these thugs with our own will i think you should ask these question in front of Sardar Yaqub or those who elect corrupt people as a representative of state. At lease Sardar Yaqub and other sudhans in government should maintain legacy of our tribe.

This is what happens when you elect people just based on biradri to change our conditions we need to elect the right people not ppp or pmln or even Muslim Conference
There is no accountability for our govt 70% of industry fled Mirpur and the govt has a no fuks given attitude and the alienation of land law just worsen things because outsiders dont want to start bussiness on property they cant own

Property ownership is not a issue there are many ways to start business in AJK. You can see Pathan business men in Rawalakot invested millions and they are getting huge profit. There are other aspects in AJK such as road infrastructure, Facilities, extreme weather, less population and human resource due to which investors hesitate to start their business.

You know rented bussinesses are different from owned bussinesses why would a company like unilever invest if they cant own the land they operate on?
We need to have lax laws for big firms to facilitate bussinesses but that harms our Kashmir stance

Companies like unilever cannot set up their facilities due to security and political issues. Secondly from where they get customized electricity , gas and human resource. As you know AJK is a region with mountains and extreme climate so these things require huge budget as well as money circulation.
You can ask similar question to GB people as well.

Not all of AJk is mountains and why do you think they cant set up factories in plain areas of Mirpur when neighbouring Gujrat belt has a strong industrial base?

Political and security reasons.
AJK is a disputed territory no one will risk his investment in this world.

Not only Azad Kashmir is disputed territory but Indian occupied Kashmir too a disputed territory. They have spent on Tourism Industry and around 50 to 60% people of J&K are engaged in tourism related activities contributing about 15% to GDP. They have quality of education and much higher facilities of school infrastructure. How much we have spent on this industry.
And for investment this is not the only reason that no one can own the property. There are many countries having lot of restrictions but still people invest there. Investors are still interested to start business in Azad Kashmir but Federal Govt. do not allow them to enter because its a disputed territory.

Despite bad facilities 5 lakh tourist visited just in 2014 just imagine what would be the number if we improve facilities for tourist and ownership of land is the biggest reason as long as that law stays we will not see major investments

Why you want to pollute environment of AJK. :D
Apki side par ghaney janglat hain hamari side pay pehley hi garmi hay thori si aur bhar jaye gi khair hay :D

keeping aside all these reason like restriction of property ownership etc.; don't you think that if we sincerely utilize the budget; we can upgrade the living standard of a normal man?
