Why has democray been sidelined so often in Pakistan?

in ideal situation i would like a wise person heading our country. doesnt matter if he is a dictator or an elected leader.
for now democracy is fine. atleast you have got an option to remove the leader given all are morally corrupt.

The moral check on democracy can only be democracy itself wherein laid down statutes stay inviolable. Institutions such as judiciary, election commission must not be tampered with.

These will & can ensure ' morality' amongst the leaders.

Add to this education among the masses, this vital ingredient ensures that ppl stay accountable. A system must be allowed to evolve for itself.

Couple of 1000 yrs back there were ROMAN & GREEK Republics, why did'nt they survive ? Its just a cycle going on & on

Yes it is a cycle & it will go on. But while the cycle is on, those affected must get the best options for themselves.
