Imran Khan is a pro western. He still cling onto hold that western world will bring better to Pakistan. He is the one going for IMF instead of China for loan.

Because China and Pakistan are countries, not parent and child.

China will always do what is in the best interest of China.

I already posted it year ago and posting again for Pakistan

Here is an old story

A business executive was deep in debt and could see no way out. Creditors were closing in on him. Suppliers were demanding payment. He sat on the park bench , head in hands, wondering if anything could save his company from bankruptcy.

Suddenly an old man appeared before him. "I can see that something is troubling you", he said. After listening to the executive's woes, the old man said, "I believe I can help you." He asked the man his name, wrote out a check, and pushed it into his hand saying, "Take this money. Meet me here exactly one year from today, and you can pay me back at that time." Then he turned and disappeared as quickly as he had come.

The business executive saw in his hand a check for $500,000, signed by John D. Rockefeller, then one of the richest men in the world! "I can erase my money worries in an instant," he realized. But instead, the executive decided to put the un-cashed check in his safe. Just knowing it was there might give him the strength to work out a way to save his business, he thought.

With renewed optimism, he negotiated better deals and extended terms of payment. He closed several big sales. Within a few months, he was out of debt and making money once again. Exactly one year later, he returned to the park with the un-cashed check. At the agreed-upon time, the old man appeared.

But just as the executive was about to hand back the check and share his success story, a nurse came running up and grabbed the old man. "I'm so glad I caught him!"; she cried. "I hope he hasn't been bothering you. He's always escaping from the rest home and telling people he's John D. Rockefeller." And she led the old man away by the arm.

The astonished executive just stood there, stunned. All year long he'd been wheeling and dealing, buying and selling, convinced he had half a million dollars behind him.

Suddenly, he realized that it wasn't the money, real or imagined, that had turned his life around. It was his new found self-confidence that gave him the power to achieve anything he went after.

This story have a critical lesson for Pakistan, Pakistan must think China as 500,000$ check and put it in safe for moral support and we as nation have to work hard to stand on our feet and to become a proud nation, friend and partner.

My post from 2012 --> https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/pak-china-ties-changing-reality-check.174586/page-2#post-2848434

Irony is that 7 years later, we are even in deeper sh!t

China is not a money lending organization. China has done amazingly well economically in the last two three decades but there are still large number of people who are poor and need government assistance to pull them out of poverty. These people are the priority for the Chinese government and not bailing out Pakistan from yet another economic crisis.

There are no free lunches in the world, we need to get off our back sides and actually learn to stand on our own feet. Even small countries like Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand etc have managed it then why not Pakistan?

Charity begins from home.

China will weight two things - the impact of trade wars which haven’t yet played out in full & IK govts leanings.

The second matters less to them so long as PA is on board

If the impact of Trumps action begin to pinch. , which they are China would rather keep its liquidity to bolster domestic markets than put it in a location thT needs a perpetual bail out.

Bcoz they don't owe us anything..

The trade deficit with China is real pain in the @ss and major issue, only if China help us improve some balance by giving preferential treatment to Pakistani exporters it can help us in long way instead of any bailout or loan. But you know Pakistani officials are asking them to renegotiate trade deals and they are not responding as fast.

I think the Chinese have learned from the poisonous parasitic relationship Pakistan has had with the U.S. for decades and doesn't want to become Pakistan's next host.

Not at all. USA had its past (and present) relationship with Pakistan determined by its own national interests, and China will do so as well. International Geopolitics 101.

On the same mind. Maybe Pakistan doesnt want a Chinese bailout, Imran Khan was critical of China in his election campaign and he first turned to Saudis and the west for help. China doesnt know where this new government will lead Pakistan.
