. .
We should target their common every day people shitting in the fields too- along with the usual indian soldiers we manage to kill in retaliation-

.
Another Indian Army officer has quite clearly stated in an interview why they inflict damage on Pakistani towns close to the border. The focus is on infrastructure rather than civilians.

Lets see whether Pakistanis can get it or not. Its rather simple actually.

@Bang Galore - we had this conversation earlier!

Pakistani soldiers also usually killed in these firing.

And may be civilian those killed in Pakistan also shitting in field as per your own conclusion.

You do target our civilians with your state-sponsored terrorist activities, don't you?

Written by whom. Some Australian "consultant" who lives in Islamabad? The author pretends that the Pakistanis are angels & don't do anything because they are all made of milk & honey presumably. In any case it doesn't even seem current because it refers to an election to come in 2014. Nothing worthwhile to discuss about this article.

Disaster management & civil-military relationship consultant?

The pages are from Hilal Magazine, published by Pakistani army, so some imported Firangi writer isn't going to change the nature of the content.:lol::lol:

Don't read much into it. Author is an alien and one side cooked. For some pak army magazine
Pakistani and Indian forces both follow the order but I doubt killing of civilian yes may be infra. To reduce intrusions

.
Hang on, I thought that the BSF does not patrol the LoC. Aren't they stationed only on the IB?

We should also have the right to destroy your infrastructure

Most of it belongs to the Kashmiri people sister....

The BSF officer has no such qualms, they are not considered his people. Even if he claims to target "terrorist" areas, the damage to innocent folk can be considerable.

Although in recent years it has been very minimal.

BSF only fires at sectors where there is risk of infiltration.. you rarely see firing in rajasthan or punjab border.
also note the timing.. its usually during infiltration season.
also I would asssume sometimes firing started by pakistani side and sometimes indian.. lets not pretend to be saint here.
villagers have protested againt militants being pushed from their area (in Azad Kashmir) because they bear the brunt of retaliation. surely somebody needs to take the blame of whole affair, and I dont expect BSF to step forward to do so.. :p:

I agree punishing civilians for wrongdoings of PA is morally wrong.

The people of AJK don't like the insurgents period. But anyway, like I said the damage, in recent years has been minimal.

No one is innocent in confrontations. Every side will take their corner. :p:

I hope peace prevails.

I did not blame AJK people, even Indian side knows this. After hizbul mujahedeen's general decline not many kashmiris pick up arms and most recent militants captured or killed are punjabi, because they are recruited by punjab based groups. Possible reason could be availability of finance and easy recruitment in those area.

about firing/shelling, it could be due to two reasons..action against infiltration or unwillingness to enter into a dialogue with pakistan (by maintaining hostility).
