That is why the BSF will never shoot, say, Hindu Nepalese or Tamil illegal immigrants.

We have an open border treaty with Nepal and Bhutan. All Nepalis (and people from Bhutan) get (almost) full economic privileges in India

Al-Zakir if you're mother-tongue was Bengali, you would have understood what Nitanto Nagonno Felani means! ;)

Actually I do not know the meaning of Hindu name even though I speak Bangla.

So am I promoted??

It was another Bangladeshi member with the info that this girl is a Hindu. Any case so is it's OK to rape and kill Muslim girl or what? :undecided:

This anti-BD hysteria which causes the BSF to shoot Bangladeshis is based on some myth about Muslims BDeshis increasing the Muslim vote in India. That is why the BSF will never shoot, say, Hindu Nepalese or Tamil illegal immigrants. The sad thing is that Felani herself was a Hindu girl. (Her name is Nitanto Nagonno Felani).

:D Yeh for sure, of course i hang out with my AL folks. Also agreed they are not really Hindu names, more like names sorta derived from Sanskrit words used slightly different in Bangla and Hindi. Like my name Gaurav would be Gaurab in Bangla?

I probably know more Bangla than this guy, and I am only 1/4th Bengali

When a member can say that Nurul Islam Nuru is a Hindu name, you can judje the credibility when he says the girl was raped

Anyway I dont want to talk about that little girl getting r***** further because it is truly insulting to her to say so when in fact it did not happen.

Yeah they are Sanskrit loan words in Bengali, Gaurav is Gourab( গৌরব ) in Bengali. Your last name is Bengali, what's the 1/4th business?

The name Abir mostly used for girl. :azn:

Yes in Saudi Arab!

also used as girl's name Abir, is of Arabic and Hebrew origin, and the meaning of Abir is "aroma; strong".

Abir meaning

Abir in Bengali refers to the redish color of the sky during dusk. In an open sky during sunset the western edge of the sky forms some color between red and pink. Ancient Bengali scholar named this color as Abir. In this region 'Abir' is mostly used as a male name.

Last name is actually Rai, prolly Roy was the anglicized version, its not the Bengali Roy. 1/4th Bengali, because my maternal granma was from pre partition Dhaka and grandad was from North India and was a railway engineer posted in Dhaka. It quite literally was a 1942's love story
