It doesn't matter really who wins the WH... for us it is going to be the same....

The Fundamental Question is:

Who is America going to redefine its Geopolitics?
Rebuild at home? Or Dismantle abroad?

I am strong supporter of Strategic Balance in PakDiplo Engagements.... tough act...but this is the only way to have some breathing room.

My sense is that there is deep rethink about India by IndiaPhrandz in D.C as well @dbc ???

When I feel improved I shall compose a piece.... some TeaLeaves of sorts... to meditate on emerging Shift in the PowerFlux.... what I see is not pretty....but then it is what it is!

India is a complex equation, there was a lot of optimism that the 1,2,3 initiative will open the door for US businesses to exploit India's immense human capital. But, India is a unmanageable mess - and the US is unlikely to persist, I fully expect loss of interest especially our ADD CNC. Pakistan on the other hand has human capital but is proving to be an equally difficult proposition. Mexico is a potential candidate too...

The nation to benefit from the massive re-balancing vis-à-vis China will be the nation that is most accommodating in our troubled times. Pakistan needs to re calibrate and think big, step up - this is a fleeting destiny changing opportunity for your nation.

I won't go now in detail for you know already the Bridge that Pak has been between both the US and China...and then them golden days of U2 flights....

I have already written about the NEED for PakAmerica Economic Corridor... with ongoing structural reforms and rather harsh fiscal discipline... Pak will pulll through....

However, we would need very Daft Diplo Balancing to pull this one off with the US and then by default with the CombinedWest ...starting with JP/SK....

I shall continue to meditate on the TeaLeaves ...and shall tag you when I think a presentable piece is ready....

My only prayer/desire is that we, as humans, could avoid a massive conflict.... which has all the underpinning in the pervailing environment...

I think Imran Khan has the charisma to pull it off - he has the sophistication and nuanced approach to win over American and European investment. Not too sure about his ability to arrange matters internally - that is a trillion dollar question!
