I would never buy a chinese brand product at even 70% to 75% of the price of a German or Japanese brand.

I would never buy an Indian product either.

Which is easy, because I've never seen one anywhere.

But you never ever buy food items made in China, not even those of non-Chinese brands.

True, buying chinese products from 2 dollar shops is alright. I bought made in china toilet brush last week, it cost me 2 bucks. Even if it lasts for for 2 months thats good enough I guess.

But when it comes to forking out big amount, like on cars, gadgets, electical appliances I would go no where near a chinese brand. Chinese made foreign brands are good though.

Chinese products have become synonymous with cheapness and low quality.... even a product from from international brand when it says from china people don't trust... say example a HP laptop one assembled in China and another from Netherlands which one will you pick with confidence.... and moreover carrying a product which says made in china not cool, honest truth.

Care to list an example? I can't think of any even for a China-expert like myself.

"Emgrand" is a car manufactured by "Geely", it's one example I can think off at the top of my head. It's slowly making its entrance in to the market here as a cheap & reliable vehicle.

And they still do today.

Quality control issues can never be fully eliminated, they can only be reduced.

Pretty much ANY manufactured item you buy across the world (especially things like electronics) have something to do with China. Both high-end and low-end.

These Indians say they don't like Chinese goods, yet the Indian trade deficit to China increases every year.

If they say they don't like it, yet they buy it anyway, that sounds good to me. They get something they don't like, and we get their money.
