Who plays a bigger role in Parenting, Mother or Father

. . . .
Both are equally important and can not be replaced. However, households with no father tend to have a very negative impact on the psychology of the children, both male child and female child.

For instance, most of the western liberal narrative is centred around taking away the guns because "they cause the mass shootings", while they completely ignore the fact that other countries in the world have similar levels of gun ownership but no similar mass shootings. Some quarters within the western societies have finally found a more relevant correlation between single-motherhood households and crimes/mass-shootings.

To be honest, I believe it depends more on the individual rather than any particular gender.

.
Mother's care, protective attitude and that love for her child "Mayra lal dunia may sab say laiq hy, mayri baiti dunia may sab say khoobsorat hy" ....... is irreplaceable, no one can love a child like mother.

Father's presence matters a lot. Just simple presence.

Both have different roles, and they hardly choose these roles, its natural, these roles come with the right time.

A mom would even love her murderer rapist son, would try to protect him, would support him even if she knows what he is doing is bad ........ the father on the other hand would always want his children to stand on their own feet, be good, upright, strong ..... and for that most of the time he has to look tough, the villain ..... suppressing his unconditional love for taking a moral stand ..... the world has mostly seen a mother expressing and exploding in emotions for her children ....... but only a father knows how he feels about his children.

Pretty stupid when ppl only credit moms for bigger role in upbringing.

Usually mothers are considered so imp cause moms get to spend more time at home with kids or cause moms take care of kids eating routine and habits. But in reality every one of them have their roles to play.

Anyways, i would say it could be any one of them and actually both. Just saying mother is extremely rude, selfish and superficial. Fathers and their contributions tend to get so badly overlooked in such discussions.

Bhai jaan all those statistics are for single-mother households, i.e. no father in the equation due to men hating courts in most of the cases. Most of the infamous serial killers also belonged to the disturbed family of single mothers with no father figure. Some of the men are pure "dead beat" who would bail on their families while some of the men die due to either sickness or accident, but in majority of the cases single-motherhood is conceived due to the promiscuous nature of an empowered women and them initiating around 80% of the divorce proceedings against their husbands; taking him to the cleaners emotionally(kids) and financially.

Once again sir, all the statistics are available and you can verify them by a simple Google search. US, Canada, Australia and the UK amongst other European countries have such data recorded over the years unlike the Middle East or South Asia.

These are just plain statistics which might have a solid correlations to societal ills. That's why I said that both of the parents are important, otherwise Allah(swt) would have only created a single gender instead of pairs. But in a society where there are a lot of "empowered", promiscuous and entitled single mothers, those mothers will almost always prove disastrous for their children's psychological and financial well being.

@I.R.A made a valid point in post#9.

No ,i agreed with ur both posts. I think you misunderstood my post. I was actually agreeing with ur points by saying people only crediting mothers as the most important individual ln child upbringing is wrong and unfair.

Oh ok, yeah I completely misunderstood your post. Sorry.

I would also like to add that being a father is amazingly difficult, as the requirements consists of a solid personality, morals, patience, wisdom and intelligence. Not only does a man has to lead his wife (which in itself is extremely complicated), but he also has to do the same for his children. It's just too much of a hassle to be honest.

A lot of menfolk do fail terribly at being nominal fathers as they themselves never ever left the mental age of 15. Such menfolk should not be allowed to marry and have a family because they ruin the whole balance. Instead of being the leaders they end up being led by unwilling and unhappy women (women are repulsed by weak personalities and they don't like men who are too good/friendly) and we all know what that leads to.
