Who is to blame for Pakistan's electricity generation crisis?

Since i was child and in 90s lived in Pakistan i remeber we had loadsheding few times in a day. Why we have not solved our shortage ? Why no one have seen what will happen in 15 20 years as we are seeing today ?

Is ZIA, Nawaz groups now PML N,Q,F etc or PPP too be blamed ? or Gernal parvez musharif ?

did you guys know that in Chitral, electricity is free because they produce their own electricity using hydro power.......

Chitral ALONE has the capability of producing 3000 megawatts of power.....3000 MW !!!!!!!!! (at the moment, they are producing a fraction of that)



where there is will, there is way....but politicians have no will because their homes have diesel generators, what the hell do they care???


Chitral has free electricity for its residents using a fairly simple way to generate it........(solar power is also being used more and more --especially at resorts)



and meanwhile, industry in Karachi (financial capital) is suffering because the largest city in Pakistan does not have regular supply of power








makes you wanna pull your hair out, doesnt it??

there were some ''talks'' here and there about importing Iranian electricity (to cover Baluchistan)

and importing power from Tajikistan to cover some of the northern areas



as usual, these ministers talk -- they sign a paper, have a few pictures snapped --and then we hear nothing......



and as usual --- these mother- f*cking LOSERS of the earth, shameless nalayak people -- they look only for short-term ''band-aid'' solutions rather than think LONG-TERM!!!!!

Part of the blame is on PPP government which is unable to make efficient finance mangaement and Mr Zardari is instead busy with Aghaz Huqooq Balochistan and wasting money on BB income support scheme which is massively exploited by the corrupt.

actually, Aghaze Huqooq is a good initiative -- as a confidence building measure for those who feel government one after the other ignored them


as for the IMPLEMENTATION of Aghaze Huqooq --- i am not privvy to the details. I would hope that it is going as planned and that the funds are readily available for the projects

One thing to keep in mind is that the rate of increase in power requirements every year, due to (a) population growth, (b) increasing urbanization, and (c) increasing affluence, is so great that it is almost impossible to accommodate. It is not easy to double the power generation capacity every 5 years or so, and impossible when one couples in all the negatives alreasy being discussed.

Well each year thousands of tons of agri waste is diposed in Pakistan. Further, thousands of animals are slaughters on yearly feast of Eid al Adha, which generates thousands of tons of animal intestines as waste. Cattle intestines contain a valuable anaerobic bacteria which can convert many bio material into methane gas. We would like to propose the goverment for utilizing this waste to generate fuel and energy however, so far all attempts have been futile.

Such project will contribute to local economy, job creating and technological developments.

Bainazeer = for establishing IPPs(independant power producers) & signing half-a-century of contract instead of Dams or other cheaper methods.

Nawaz & Mushy-the-traitor = for NOT doing anything towards building dams or other means.

Zardari-&-Co. = for rental power project instead of cheaper methods.
