Which russian missile was this??

Looks like a test launch of the "S-350E Vityaz 50R6"Interestingly, there seems to be traces of depleted Uranium in there from the kind of burnout its creating...

Cannot be Vitaz.. This thing is huge, not a Surface to air missile. Look at the amount of propellant burning? Many tens of tons.

Check the size of that missile mate.
Check the trajectory of its flight and the initial speed of lift off.

Doesn't look like anything else to me...

The western media have mistakenly refereed to it as S300/350 which is not true. It is a long range Ballistic missile if not intercontinental ballistic missile. Look at the smoke trail from its exhaust or the fireball. A 600-1400Kg S300/350 missile cannot create such missive fireball and those flares indicate it is most likely a solid fueled missile.

It is not Western. It is Russian media. It was official statement - S-350 testing.
Here you can see night launch of S-300.
And here is ICBM night launch

Well thanks for pointing out that the Russian media is reporting the same.

If you look at the two videos, dont you think the exhaust trail, jet and the fireball after its blows and then again when it falls to ground is WAY bigger than a SAM S350?

I speak basic Russian, and I came across many comments on those videos that referred to it as C350...

I think it is because of night explosion and burning elements seems bigger than they are.

I think one way to finding it out (at our level that is, apart from the government announcement) will be to find some similar crash/failure video of an ICBM and SAM and compare?

But don't you think the trajectory its flying with is kinda like what you would expect from an actively scanning and homing missile and not a fixed/passive guidance missile like an ICBM?

I noticed the video do not show the trajectory from launch and judging by smoke trail, it is pretty much a shot up! Same as any ballistic missile (S300-350, S400 also have same trajectory though this close to launch)
