When the cases were found in a 10 million population city, it means the virus had alread been spreaded. And it is very possible that at the time when no one knew this virus exists, the virus had alread arrived to other countries(That's why we are not so sure this virus is originated from China).

Attributing your incompetence to China's slow response to the disease is just a pretext. And I think Chinese government acted slowly for two reasons. 1,Researching the unknown virus needs time. 2,Bureaucracy struture for dealing with highly infectious diseases is not efficient.

Agree. Highly contagious disease is very sensitive in every country. Public panic sometimes is more deadly than the disease itself. Most countries would choose not to release the disease information to public unless human to human infection is confirmed. What Chinese government did is not so different than others. West countries just use this opportunity to hit China.

the response of the chinese has been amazing . the way they got hold of the disease in their country is commendable no doubt. but they have given this gift to the rest of the world and i doubt poor countries dont have the resources to tackle this issue.

It's very suspicious that the seasonal flu outbreak started when the weather is still warm.

What I'm scaring is... maybe coronavirus rather immune to hot weather.

Which is the number will not go down significantly this summer.

Because of this, the outbreak will continue for years.


Like the H1N1 and others, maybe we should just think coronavirus is just another seasonal flu and life goes on.

I agree if the criticism is actually in the research and meeting window of time.

Why it took so long.

Why it can be done in less than a week or two-three days.

But it's very human and not to mention it's a new virus, people were still didn't know much about it and how to deal with it.

Compare with other countries who actually already know everything because of the window of time after the first outbreak in China, but still, take a very long time before making a decision.

If coronavirus happened in other countries, it will take months before the government takes notice.

Many times it's not bureaucracy, but people are still not having a clue about what is happening.
