I am sorry I don't have such statistics. so I cant answer that. such stories have no symmetry or pattern. they will appear in the media in one place or another and will fade away.Does it happen in Pakistan also? If yes, in which province is the rate of such incidence higher?
this tendency of men is beyond the confines of times country borders or ethnicity and is found across the board in different shapes and levels.
I said Asian because I speak for ourselves. check out the acid attacks for example. forced marriages after kidnaps and even killings.Really..? don't generalise mate.. it may have happened in your area but definitely it is not a trend especially not on Asian scale..
it is not about a trend. its a mental state of a male. and as I explained to another poster. its beyond the confines of borders and ethnicity. but since I am not an African, American or European.... I had news items, stories and books in my mind when I made that statement.
just look up the stories of those jilted lovers leading to tragedies and decide for yourself if its significant to be called a trend or not. for me, even a single such incident is one too many and must be dealt with very sternly by the law.
