The long-delayed $1.1bn sale of a 70 percent stake in Sri Lanka's Hambantota port, which straddles the world's busiest east-west shipping route, has been signed off in Colombo.

It will help Sri Lanka get on top of mounting debts and adds another important link in China's 'New Silk Road'.

But many in Sri Lanka see it as a sell out, and India is worried about China moving into its backyard.

Can Sri Lanka keep its worried neighbours on its side, while trying to play a bigger role in China's ambitious trade plans?

These Sri Lankan posters have some cojones to be still putting up a straight face.. Their economy is standing on one leg, elected leaders have no options but to sell their a$$es off to stay afloat. And all these numbnuts can think of is what would India think or how jealous India would be.

These Sri Lankans have some serious soul searching to do, Hambantota is not the end of your troubles it just the start of an entirely new set of.. And we Indians could not care less.

Glad that south Asian countries are now releasing that by joining China-Pak nexus, they will benefit from collective rise of Asia. Living under the shadows of India which in itself is a poodle of anglo-saxon world order, will bring nothing but regional conflicts and tensions as the west will never allow Asia to rise.
