Not really. It was awkward. Our ex-milkboy was an informer for the Jihadis. He was seen pasting posters. We informed the Police. The jihadis came in strength(about 50, at least half were armed with small arms). With their children and women in the front, who ACTUALLY volunteer. Many families gathered and exchanged rounds. I think I hit a round of two(it was evening). The VDC was mobilized quickly as well. In half an hour the Army came and dispersed the crowd(there is only one road from Anantnag DC), shot a few jihadis here and there and went back. I never had to participate in any attack like that. I was sent off to Jammu for High School while the rest of the family stayed behind. Similar attacks have come down. If they do, they don't involve firearms.

But yes, most Kashmiri Sunnis want us dead. Or gone. Kashmiri Hindus want to convince them that they are wrong. I am an exception.

May be true for Maharastra. But the rest? Are not Hindus a hopelessly divided bunch who deserve extinction? I mean in spite of all the lessons if you want to lose your identity, I think they should be allowed to.

To be very honest, India died for me the day I realized that my dadi did not slip into Jhelum river and got chopped into pieces by piranhas and demons who lived underwater.

I mean let me tell you about my neighbor here in hostel. Guy is from Rajasthan. Jat. Rajput. I expected bravery. The guy plans to leave his village for a Hindu majority village if Muslims become a majority there! Why not stay? It's your land. Since your forefathers. I don't personally think such a civilization even deserves to survive.
