What Happened when a Muslim Opened his Arm for Hug in India

Most Indian Muslims I know consider themselves Muslims first.

I just think you're lying tbh.

I just think that you are telling the truth.

The kinds you know are likely to consider themselves Muslims first.

These delusional Indians think they can become westerners by copying their stupid "prove nothing" videos made by bored teen agers

Quite right.

They should have proved something by beheading the man.

Took a lot of time to break the ice - and get over the embarrassment.

And the girls, and their handshakes, were so cute!

I would egg these attention whores.... what a shame.
Do we Muslims really need attestation and approval from non Muslims? No we dont.

Well I know A LOT of Gujarati Muslim (Memon, Kochi, Malawian etc) these guys without a doubt would consider themselves muslims above all. Guji Muslims are a very practicing bunch.

He is just spreading the message that Muslims, like others are just normal human beings. It's one way to remove a mental blockade, the suspicion around Muslims globally and in India too. Calling him an "attention whore" only puts you in that block of Muslims who want to believe nothing is wrong and hence nothing needs to be done. Maybe that is what is wrong with Muslims of today? not enough positive thought and progressive mindsets?

First of it is true, it is a good demonstration and I applaud the effort and risk taken by video producers to do the social experiment but we need to establish the veracity of the video, it depends a lot on the situation/location of the filming. Normally teens and students tend to be better than the older folks.

But lets put one thing straight; A Muslim, regardless of his/her nationality, is Muslim first and everything else is secondary....if that is not the case then that person seriously need to review is faith and set priorities correctly.

.

There you go, then. You are telling the truth. What a credit you are to everybody concerned.

No, you don't. And you shy away from attention so hard that you got 24 negative ratings.

Look what Aunty Google found, when she was seeking attestation and approval from non-Googles:

irony1
ˈʌɪrəni/
noun
  1. the expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect.
"‘Don't go overboard with the gratitude,’ he rejoined with heavy irony"

Its Pathetic.

"secularism" in India has now degenerated into such tokenism.

No only does the man dress up as a "good muslim" and even keeps a beard to highlight how he is "different" from others. Then he expects others to hug him to accept him for being "different", while he continues to reject others and wants to remain "different".

A normal muslim man who do not keep a moustachless beard and dress in normal clothing is the real secular guy. Not the jokers who are trying to prove something by being weirdly dressed and growing weird facial hair.

What is he trying to highlight here ? That Normal people are more tolerant to weirdo's like him or that weirdo's like him are intolerant to normal folks ?

So unless we hug a weirdo, we are not "secular". That is the moral of the story. Now let us all celebrate this glorious demonstration of "secularism".

Leaving aside the religion, why would anyone hug a stranger?

1) Could be a sexual predator

2) How clean is the person?

Why do you want to leave aside the "Religion" ?

The whole point of the video is to Highlight the "Religion" and how that makes him "different" and how Indian society accept "differer" folks.

ppl should become humans first and everything else is secondary.
I 100% agree with you and if you really study the teachings of Islam, you will find that being Muslims means to be as best a human being as possible...for the society, family, friends, parents, the state and the whole world.

But don't forget, you also HAVE to stand out first, so that people can identify you as "Muslim" first and not confuse you with some other "human being".
