Been there and know all too damn well what a liberal really is!

But you are the Imam of the Liberal School of Thought ... eagerly waiting for your detailed teachings .. when do enrolments start?

. .
Being a liberal is to try and follow the teachings of the beloved prophet Muhammad, who was sent as kindness to ALL mankind, as the Quran itself testifies.

If Muhammad PBUH can pray for the people of Taif after what they did to him when he called them to the right path, who am I to get upset with people here?

Those who preach hate will fail. The Quran tells us so, and the life of Muhammad PBUH shows us so.

.
its a fact that after a person becomes parent , their thinking mostlky tilts towards religion..may Allah give hidayat to me u and everyone

Not only that, taking the time out to reflect and critically analyse one's own life as well.

Why not try being a Momin instead? Or being a liberal is a prerequisite to be a momin? Must be, right? Quran defines momin, maybe I skipped the part of that covers being a liberal first? Oh, it must be IMPLIED!

@Syed.Ali.Haider I am glad of one thing tho, that you have shown respect for Quran and our Prophet S.A.W. I don't agree with your liberal mantra though as Islam is Islam and Momin is Momin and these have been clearly defined in the Quran by Allah and by Prophet S.A.W. This idea of liberalism in Islam is man made, just as various sects are.

Call it by whatever name one wishes to, there is simply no room for hatred towards any of His creations in Islam. Muhammad PBUH lived his life with kindness and respect for all those around him, from a very young age to the day he died. He was the ideal liberal.

Call a true follower of Muhammad by any name one wishes to, but it has to be worthy of the title of Rehmat-ul-lil-Alameen. To challenge it is to challenge the Quran itself.

Good enough for me. :D

There's no baazi brother. He seems to be justifying Islam through Liberalism or viewing Islam through the prism of Liberalism. Islam is Islam and Islam is unique, there are no comparisons and parallels.

One report by a private Think Tank does not mean much at all. They are entitled to their views, but it does not make any policy.

:)

one private think tank..? dont act if it is just one random thing.. its general we face a war on islam today because of this.. and you say it does not make any policy.. and how it does make a policy! its just a summary of their views about us..maybe with this we can understand what it mean that they will not be satified until you leave all islamic views so you are one of them

In Pakistan, word 'liberal' is a huge tent as its cover of atheists, islam-haters, foreign funded activists, NGOs or like minded dumbos who agree w/ their social agenda & taking some sort of financial advantage from foreign source, leftist extremists, all as one. They are the other side of extreme who blameneveryione but themselves. Call western manufactured reports as credible, all their lives have been exposed to one kind of information thru westernboioks likes of Dawkins and other jerks who have conditioned their minds, short circuited their brains
