AI is progressing leaps and bounds and there are many avenues within this area - 12 when i last counted. the latest push is towards deep learning; i would suggest you have a look at bayesian networks or SVM or deep learning to get a good understanding. In just past 3 years progress has been enormous.

There isn't AI without quantum computer. I know because I work in AI. You can't make fake AI with digital computer programs. You'd be fooling yourself.

Can you two create a thread to explain and discuss AI in simple terms ?? I am designing a microprocessor and would like to have in it hardware-support for AI.

Such a thread would be helpful to people who want to work with AI.
