Many nations were glorious at some point in the past, but today they either do not exist or exist in a barely significant manner. I don't think anyone will doubt the achievements made by the US, but achieving success is one thing, but maintaining that success throughout time is something else entirely. The US today is a land where millions are on food stamps. Much of what you see in the US is very reminiscent of what one would see in "3rd world" countries. So yes, despite your past achievements, the true reality is you're on the downward spiral today. But don't be sad, you're not the first nation to go through it, and most probably not the last. I am sure citizens of past superpowers also could not fathom their nation one day becoming relatively much less significant if not downright collapse.

The best universities with the most advanced science and technological base in the world. Part of it kinda yes but China and Russia have for the last two decades be trying to create institutions like the SCO,AIIB Bank and China is trying to get the UN on its side through funding

I guess I am just much more in touch with history and reality. Your downfall is not just possible, but inevitable. Like I told you earlier, it does not surprise me at all that you could not see it.
