Only useful for post invasion , it is too big a target to be used in an invasion and would be a sitting duck. We learnt from the Falklands war that ships don't stand much of a chance against high speed low altitude missile attack.

depends on where its used. for instance, if a africa contingency ever happened and PLAN needed to secure airspace and a dock to get its citizens out from some african civil war, then it'll be very useful to have the 075 on scene.

For somewhere else like taiwan, it needs heavy protection, which is why it'll never travel alone, there will be a entire battle group formed around it.
