The Vietnamese version of Chinese President Xi Jinping's book on governance was released on Wednesday in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam.

"Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" contains 79 speeches, talks, interviews, notes and letters of the Chinese leader between November 2012 and June 2014.

The book is believed to help improve the world's understanding of China's development, domestic and foreign policies, and response to the concerns of international community.

Distribution of the book, published in Chinese, English, French, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Japanese in September 2014, has exceeded 5.2 million copies in some 100 countries and regions, according to the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration (CFLPA).

The book was edited by the State Council Information Office, the Party Literature Research Office under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the CFLPA.

The Vietnamese version, released by China's Foreign Language Press together with the National Political Publishing House of Vietnam, is the second version accomplished through bilateral cooperation after the Korean version released in Seoul in October.

The book is pretty popular, in fact, especially for people interested in secular, scientific governance.

It is is not about ideology. It is about governance. Could be pretty useful for technocrats and other officials. In that sense, the book is not meant to be a Das Kapital.

Chinese universities constantly study public governance models in South Korea, Singapore and Japan. Nothing is wrong in adapting the best practices from others.

I remember Vietnam during a state visit by China, held up China's flag with 5 little stars (instead of 4 on the flag), Vietnam want to be a Chinese province again so bad. This is a welcome sign

To be frank, Vietnamese behave more like a rebellious child in the Chinese family.

Just like what Deng said, when the child crossed the line, it needed to be punished.

President Xi Jinping Attends Grand Welcome Dinner Hosted by CPV General Secretary and Vietnamese President

President ‪#‎XiJinping‬ and First Lady Peng Liyuan attended the grand welcome dinner jointly hosted by General Secretary of the Communist Party of ‪#‎Vietnam‬ (CPV) Central Committee, Nguyen Phu Trong, and President of Vietnam, Truong Tan Sang, in the International Conference Center in Hanoi, Vietnam, November 5, 2015.
