The Vietnamese youth union leader said at a meeting with his Chinese counterpart on Tuesday that the two countries need to enhance direct contact between their youth.
Nguyen Dac Vinh, secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, said during a meeting with Lu Hao, first secretary of Chinas Communist Youth Union, that more direct contact will increase the mutual trust and understanding between the unions and the countries young generations.
Vinh said the two unions should cooperate and intervene in their countries policies to make youth exchange leading activities in the relations between the two countries.
He said young people will build long and friendly cooperation between Vietnam and China.
The Chinese youth leader said he agrees with the ideas and will forward them to other officials in his union.
The meeting is part of the 12th Vietnam-China youth exchange going on in Hanoi.
