Video shows US soldier handover By Taliban Fighters

I have not followed his story. I would like to know more, but in his words. I did not know that he could be considered a deserter. How did that come about? Curious.
Fellow soldiers call Bowe Bergdahl a deserter, not a hero

The sense of pride expressed by officials of the Obama administration at the release of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl is not shared by many of those who served with him: veterans and soldiers who call him a deserter whose "selfish act" ended up costing the lives of better men.

"I was pissed off then, and I am even more so now with everything going on," said former Sgt. Matt Vierkant, a member of Bergdahl's platoon when he went missing on June 30, 2009. "Bowe Bergdahl deserted during a time of war, and his fellow Americans lost their lives searching for him."

Taliban are the true mujahedines not the khawarij nor the traitors who pledge allegiance to kuffars
Your IP has been reported to the agencies for further action as a supporter of terrorism.
resolving the proxy will not take long.

All those who thank this post will also be reported as additional suspects.

Nevertheless, I support President Obama's decision to bring him back. He can be dealt with later according to law. My cursory reading of CNN story makes me think that he lost it... I for one am not going to support his prosecution on that count.

Also, the people that have been freed from Guantanamo have been held without charges and for God-know-how-long. I know a couple of them look very sinister, but still they could not be kept there til the end of time.

For me this video shows how real things work in the field. Compare this with a Hollywood / Bollywood movie similar scene.
Few more things i noticed, the worrisome face of the soldier.
The chaps who came in helicopter were looking like "Contractors" not US serving personnel.

Bergdahl would wish he was back in Taliban custody. He will probably be prosecuted for deserting his unit.

Probably CIA or something like that.

The armed soldiers were back in the heli as you could see...

Why he would desert his post, which was safe, and leave for very dangerous and hostile areas?. America might be fabricating story, he might have been capatured during taliban attack

Wouldn't it be better for the U.S. govt. to say he was captured instead of saying he went to the other side?:o:

US Special Forces aren't required to wear standard uniforms during all operations.

It was most likely a way to look more friendly to the Taliban who walked over to them, who I am sure were dreading the moment as much as the US Forces flying into a potential hornets nest.

I would be interested in seeing the footage from the overhead drone(s), to see just how many Taliban were in the area.

Why did he desert his post? Seems like stupid thing to do.

Bergdahl is an emotional basketcase who washed out of the US Coast Guard. He had this idea that army life was going to be like working in the Peace Corps, teaching Afghan children to speak English and what not. The reality of the situation wasn't what he expected, and he ran off. Obviously, anyone who thinks the army is going to be sunshine and rainbows isn't particularly bright.
