Two new systems designed by BAE Systems as Paul Wright describes them for us.

Augmenting reality on the battlefield

• The first is a Helmet Mounted Display (HMD) called Q-Warrior for ground troops allowing infantry to share and view tactical data over a network.

• The second, the Striker Helmet, is a smart helmet that knows where the pilots of fast jets are looking and allows ease of designation and targeting.

With enhanced night vision & 3D heads-up display, BAE creates Google Glass for the battlefield

Infantry HMDs are a game changer. They're going to dominate the next generation of battlefields and provide critical info to the common soldier. Any military worth it's weight is going to start investing in infantry HMDs in the next decade.
