Vermont colonel forced to resign after flying F-16 to meet love interest: report

.
He will use tax payer money for his lover's postal fee..

Free 100kg priority air mail postage fee from US to France. :enjoy:

Read the news again. He was SCHEDULED to fly the F-16 to DC, which mean he did not just go AWOL and take a Fighter Jet to DC to a conference, meeting his lover is on the side

The article stated the National Guard spokeperson said

Which mean he is completing an annual requirement of training to and from the location.

He is forced to resign because as an Officer, he had an extramarital affair with another Officer, committing adultery may be okay as a civilian, but in the Military, it is a crime. He resign so he was not article 32 for it, most likely to keep his pension. If he did not, he will be facing a conduct unbecoming and adultery charge, which will end his career and strip of rank and pension.
Look at the idiot. You think we are stupid or cant read? I do know your blind defending of US military wrong doing or misdeed.

"It was not immediately clear if Jackman was required to reimburse the Guard for flying the plane."

Every Pakistanis know your clown defending of US destroyer when obvious, its the USN fault to crush into the civilian tanker. Your word is as good as thrash when comes to US military.

First, this insult is uncalled for @Slav Defence @waz @Oscar

Second, the article say he take the F-16 out for training for annual requirement, rather than having it out and pick up the ladies, and it suggested that the action DID NOT result in a court martial suggested THERE ARE NO WRONG DOING.

What you quote "It was not immediately clear if Jackman was require to reimburse the guard" mean even the National Guard know this is any sort of wrong doing, or he would already have need to pay for it instead of "Not know", and you claim the pilot are doing something wrong? Even when the National Guard reserved to say so?

I don't really care whether or not what you believe, the article says otherwise, and pretty obvious that you have not read the article.

And ALMOST ALL REPORT coming from both Japanese Coast Guard, Singapore MOT and US Navy suggested BOTH US NAVY and THE CIVILIAN SHIP were at fault, which is the point I originally claim. As I said, just because you said something does not mean it is the truth.

If Jackman did not misuse F-16 for his personal use. There will not even be a single hint of whether he even need to reimburse the F-16 money anot. The National Guard is just kind enough not to further pursue it if they decide not ask him back for the money. Not becos they do not know whether he is guilty of misuse or not.

First of all, "Having to reimburse" does not mean someone misuse its authority, I was in the Army, I was issued with a lot of equipment, I have a choice to return all the equipment, or pay for anything that I did not return after my service ended. If I choose the latter, I will have to reimburse the item I took home with, that does not mean. A.) I steal those equipment. B.) Those equipment are not allowed to take home. In this case, I returned my NOD, my Rifle, my GPS and other essential and I kept my M9 Side Arms, my Kevlar vest, my MICH and my Uniform, and I pay for those. Does that mean I "Misused" army equipment?

Second of all, if there are "solid wrongdoing" I am sure as hell they will not let me resign over it, I will be article 32ed and will be send to court martial, taking a fighter jet for private use (as you put it) is a lot different than taking my rifle when I was off duty, do you think the Air Force will let you fly the jet if you are not authorised? So if, he would have been court martialled, and not asked to resign, because he could as well fly the jet to China or Russia to defect and not going to have a love interest.

And finally, the tone the National Guard suggest he (Jackman) may not have done anything wrong with the F-16, otherwise they will ask for reimbursement, the fact that they don't know mean there are ground he took the jet for official training purpose. How can you be so sure when the airforce themselves don't know if there are any wrongdoing involved?

load of BS? How do you know? You served in the US Military? Do you know what is the discharge procedure?

If you don't know all that, how do you know it is BS?

On the other hand, you seems to know something the National Guard doesn't. Well, talk about BS.

First of all, I dont doubt your discharge procedure and reimbursement policy of US military but its not applicable for this Casanova colonel. :enjoy:

Again, how do you know what the colonel did and what he didn't, when you are

A.) Not an US service member
B.) Know nothing on the scope of the matter, a fact that even the National Guard say they don't.

So, either you are the colonel himself or you are the people who are charging the colonel, you know shit.

.
I was him I also used this F-16 for long drive with my love.

LOL... As if US military has no monetary corruption? As least PLA dont have Casanova or big cowboy trying to impress others with no discipline.

“Fat Leonard,” the Navy bribery scandal involving more than 60 admirals, explained
Never said we are perfect, buddy. But the corruption in the US military pales in comparison to what your PLA generals and admirals does.

We have gone over this before...

Guo and Xu were the most senior military officers investigated for buying and selling military ranks...
Next to treason, this is the closest thing to damaging a military to its core. Your PLA is now riddled with incompetent officers up and down its force structure. PLA generals and admirals are millionaires from sitting on boards of directors and exploiting those below them.

How does general selling rank is different from admiral accepting bribes that scale involved 60 of them? The scale is the same but let me repeat. At least PLA is not ill disciple or sexual shortage enough that they make use of military asset to impress their lover.
