US top export destination, China top import source for Pakistan: report

Anyone who understands basic economics, will understand trade per se but trade with our neighbours make us richer, but logic is not a factor of our trade relations.

Do you know the details of what Pakistan exports to US? I presume it's mostly textiles, but it would be nice to see a list of some kind.

textiles, surgical equipment, food items and the IT industry especially software development is in a few hundred million dollars as well. Pakistani start ups are making a mark on silicon valley.

Is China really blocking Pakistan goods or is China just better at doing business? As for trade with India, it would make natural sense for both countries to trade with each other, but until issues between them are not resolved, this will nevery be fully realized.



Living in the US, where exactly would bananas grow that makes them a viable crop for US? The weather is not warm enough. US imports a lot of tropical fruits: pineapples, guavas, etc.

Some initiatives have been taken and some are underway in KP, Baluchistan Coastal area, and Thatta region of Sindh. Hope it will produce edible oil of 500 million dollars in coming years.

India really needs to take control of some of Pakistan exports to USA, as India relationship improves with USA
