And this Jerusalem decision was so poorly timed and poorly executed that I can't help but think it was deliberately designed so that the whole world would turn against the USA, and allow Trump to make his dream come true of pulling out of the United Nations completely.

The fact that Nikki Haley has basically gone off the rails and started threatening retribution makes me think this possibility is even more likely.

On other matters, Trump may be isolating the US, but on Israel, US has always gone alone even in the face of unanimous opposition. This decision on Jerusalem is no different.

If you really want US to change decision, a robust statement by OIC is not going to do it. You need sustained diplomatic pressure. For one, OIC member should withdraw their ambassadors. Second, is economic. The Gulf states alone can cancel billions in weapons purchases from US defense contractors. Nothing attracts Trump's attention like losing money.
